» sapph - Real treatments for warts

I'm so thrilled to have found a wart treatment which totally works and doesn't involve spell-casting or folklore!

After several inter-family infections, I was dreading yet another trip to the doctor to have my persistent mosaic of plantar warts iced with liquid nitro. YIKES. At the time, I was trialling vinegar as a toner for my acne prone skin and found it to be much too drying for this purpose. The abrasive and burning action, however, did give me an idea - a possible way to treat my fungal foot infection.........

IT'S INCREDIBLY EASY happy
Take one band-aid / elastoplast.
Add a few drops of WHITE vinegar to the absorbent pad.
Apply the band-aid to the wart, ensuring that the pad is in contact with the affected area.
Clean the area and apply a fresh vinegar soaked band aid every morning and night, or after showering.

*It is very important to keep the affected area away from moisture. Change the band-aid if it should come into contact with water, as the vinegar will be become too diluted to maintain its effectiveness.

The wart should shrink in size and disappear within a couple of weeks. For plantar warts, you will know it's working when black spots disappear from the wart's structure. These black spots are the blood vessels which supply sustenance to the wart. Be diligent, I'm not sure how long this process can take and it may differ between individuals. The wart may also feel a little more tender than usual in the initial stage, though this quickly improves.

This treatment has worked for me several times now, on ordinary verrucas (on both my hands) and it also worked a treat on the cluster of plantar warts. I've had similar mosaics frozen off several times! I kid you not, this has worked for my brother's massive cluster of plantars and also for my cousin Jessica, who has had several operations to remove verrucas from her hands.

Why this works? I'm not entirely sure, but after some research, it seems that vinegar contains a substance called Acetic Acid, which is an antibacterial. Water - free or Pure Acetic Acid (otherwise known as Glacial Acetic Acid) is used as a proven medical treatment for verrucas and warts. Despite the relatively low acetic acid content of vinegar (8 - 18%), there must be enough of the substance present to have some effect. Basically, vinegar is just a more diluted form of the substance that many Western doctors use for wart treatment. I guess the secret is to find the vinegar with the highest acid content! By the way, the highest acid containing vinegars are those used for pickling.

There are so many silly old wives tales circulating about, always with disappointing results. After suffering for so many years, I felt obligated to share this treatment because I'm totally gobsmacked at its simplicity and effectiveness. It's cheap and much less painful than icing or burning and better still, no more scarring! All the best and please let me know if any of you have positive results!

Take care
