Giving Thanks for Health Choices on Passover, the Holiday of Freedom

During Passover we celebrate our freedom. How about raising a glass to the freedom of health care and health choices that we are fortunate to have in the Western world?

Passover and Easter are both holidays during which we give thanks for our freedom - the freedom to live as we do as self-determining human beings, the freedom to choose our lives, and especially freedom of religion.

But I'm thinking of a different kind of freedom now. When it comes to freedom, I am still very grateful for the freedom that we have in the Western world to determine our own path to health.

I am thankful for the freedom to choose our doctors. The freedom of choice we have in the huge selection of naturopaths, chiropractors, nutritionists, reiki and other energy work practitioners, craniosacral therapists, energy psychology therapists, and more.

I am grateful that we still have the power of veto on vaccines that would otherwise be administered to ourselves and our children. We have the option to sign non-consent forms and protect ourselves from invasive medical procedures.

I feel blessed that we can still purchase nutritional supplements, homeopathic remedies, and essential oils without a perscription. Despite the work of CODEX and FDA threats, we can still take care of our own health nutritionally.

Having travelled in third world countries, I feel very fortunate that we have such a supply and variety of food available, so that we can make choices in what we will eat. I believe very strongly in food as medicine. Having the choice to use it as such is a real luxury.

I am grateful for the freedom of speech which allows us to share information on the internet.

I am grateful for the freedom of religion and the gradually more widespread acceptance for "spiritual mutts" like myself who are interested in many religions and belief systems, but don't quite fit the standard for any.

I am grateful for you, my readers.

DAYENU.
