Resolving Chronic Pain and Fatigue

Treating Fibromyalgia

Feb 14, 2009 Robert Oakes

This section gives practical steps for controlling and curing fibromyalgia and the related conditions of myofascial pain syndrome (MPS) and chronic fatigue (CFIDS).

Control involves bringing the condition into a state of balance, so that the symptoms are not an issue. Curing goes deeper and removes the causal level of the condition. This article will deal with the treatment of fibromylagia.

Underlying Conditions of Fibromyalgia

It is important to address the major conditions within fibromyalgia. With these facets under control, the rest of the symptoms tend to fade into the background.

What to Avoid with Fibromyalgia

Diet plays a major role in this condition. Sugars, simple carbohydrates, yeasts, cola drinks, aspartame, caffeine and alcohol are all poorly tolerated. In the beginning, it is important to cut them out as much as possible. Once balance is regained, then moderate amounts of them can be tolerated. Colas and aspartame should never be included in the diet even in small amounts.

Avoid the use and proximity to perfumes and chemical odours.

What to Include to Help Fibromyalgia

Have a good protein source for breakfast. One or two eggs (vegetarian fed, free range) are a good way to start the day. Include chia seeds in the diet. Have frequent smaller meals, and if extra energy is required drink green tea.

Essential Daily Supplements for Fibromyalgia and CFIDS

  • Licorice root (350mg-500mg) in the morning. This will control the blood sugar and low blood pressure, as well as helping the immune system. Do not use DGL. Do not use licorice root if high blood pressure is an issue.
  • Vitamin B complex (50-100mg) in the morning with Vitamin C (1000mg).
  • Folic acid (folate), omega 3, and kelp supplement in the morning, or diet rich in these foods. This trinity helps proper functioning of the thyroid.
  • Calcium Magnesium at bedtime (1000mg calcium/500 mg magnesium). Increases quality of sleep, reduces muscle cramping, and helps night vision.

Other supplements that can help are

  • Vitamin E to reduce muscle pain.
  • Wolfberry, Maral Root, or DHEA to rebuild muscles. DHEA is illegal in Canada; consult a health care professional before using
  • Fo-ti to restore vital energy
  • A homeopathic glandular support formula based on the endocrine glands.

Lifestyle and Attitude when Dealing with Chronic Pain

A healthy lifestyle has balance. Daily exercise and fresh air are vitally important. A healthy support network is helpful and should be positively oriented. The people who recover and regain back their life all share a determination to be healthy. They are their own main health care provider; they are proactive. It is necessary not to identify with the illness as part of the personality. The condition can only be released when the person is bored of feeling that way. As long as it is still serving a purpose to reinforce a belief about their self, then it will remain. The trick is to seeing the condition already healed even before treatment begins.

The Cure for Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue

Most of what is advertised as a cure for fibromyalgia is actually only a control. The cause is a virus and the only effective treatment is with the use of an energy medicine able to work on causal levels. In particular, Vortex Healing and Bodytalk are able to work on causal levels. Once eliminated, it is then the matter of bringing the body back to full health and eliminating any emotional conditioning that may have created the need for the condition in the first place.

With resolve and determination health can be achieved.
