Pimples occur most often on the forehead, nose, neck and back. They can ruin a day with one glance in the mirror. Though they can certainly be annoying, there are ways to prevent them and even make them go away overnight. Home RemediesOne common home remedy for pimples is toothpaste. Simply dab a small amount of toothpaste directly on the pimple before bed and wash it off upon waking up. This method is known to dry out the pimples, making them more likely to disappear. Another home cure is a honey mask. Spread about a tablespoon full of honey over the entire face and leave on as a mask for 20 to 30 minutes. Wash off completely. Do this once a day for up to one week. Results make take up to a few days. Orange peel has also become known as a popular home remedy for pimples. Rub the orange peel on the affected area twice per day for 3 to 4 days. Another fruit remedy you can try is lemon juice. Wet a cloth with a tablespoon of lemon juice and rub it directly on the pimple. Do this twice a day until the pimple disappears. It is advised that you try each home remedy for pimples one at a time. Give each one a chance to work before moving on to the next. PreventionTo prevent pimples, be sure to wash your face completely every morning and night. Make sure that you remove all makeup before going to bed for the night. You will want to use a facial cleanser and then follow up with a moisturizer to make sure that you are not drying out your skin. Drink plenty of water each day. Staying properly hydrated will go a long way in keeping your skin healthy and glowing. Eat plenty of vegetables. The vitamins and minerals you consume though the food you eat are very important to maintaining healthy skin. Avoid picking at your pimples. This can cause scarring and even make the pimples spread to other parts of the face. Chart your pimples. Write down how many pimples you have each day and look to see if there is a pattern. You might break out more during hormonal bursts or after eating certain foods. This is good information to have if you decide to see a dermatologist. If you do have recurrent acne or pimples that cover most of the face, it might be a good idea to see a dermatologist. A doctor can test you for allergies and prescribe medication that might be helpful to get rid of your acne.
